Little Fishes

Hooray – Little Fishes is back! We are excited to be reopening as of Monday 17th May! It's going to look a bit different, but the friendly faces, toys, craft, story and singing time will still be there.

As we get used to running with some restrictions in place, we've decided to just run one session a week for now. We hope to do more in the near future and will keep this website updated.

Sessions will run on Mondays, 10am-11am at St. Neots Evangelical Church, Cambridge Street.

You must pre-book your place. Booking is open from 9am on Tuesday to 9am on Thursday. For now, because of our limited capacity, we're only inviting those who were already on our list before the pandemic to book a place. We hope to make it more open very soon, with those who signed up to our waiting list being invited next. Pre-booking means we can control the numbers for each session as we can only have up to 20 adults come along (with no limit on the number of children). It also means that we can try to give everyone who wants to, a fair chance to come. This means we will not always allocate places on a first come, first served basis. If you are unsuccessful in getting a place we will try and prioritise you for a subsequent week, should you want to book again. Emails will be sent out on Fridays to let you know if you have a place for the following Monday or not. If you no longer want your place, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing us at sneclittlefishesblah@gmail.com so we can give it to someone else.

When you arrive at Little Fishes you'll be required to form a socially distanced queue outside the building until we open the doors at 9.55am. This is to avoid crowding in the foyer. There are markers on the ground leading up to the door to help with this. We'll then sign you in, one family group at a time and will ask you to sanitise your hands on your way in.

Each session will cost £1 per family. We'll have a bowl for you to put your money in, and we're sorry but for now, no change will be given.

If you wish to park in the church car park we now have marked bays to help with social distancing. Once these are full, please find alternative parking nearby, while being considerate to our neighbours.

Face coverings will need to be worn when you're inside the building for the duration of the session. There are hand sanitiser dispensers located throughout the building so please do make full use of these. We'll also have sanitation stations with anti-bac wipes so you can wipe down toys before or after your little one uses them if you would like to. All chairs, toilets and touch points will be cleaned before and after every session. All toys will have been in quarantine for at least 72 hours before being set out that morning.

Only one family at a time will be able to use the toilets. There will be signs on the door to let you know if the room is occupied.

Adults from different households or bubbles will need to keep 2 meters apart. Government guidelines state that children under 5 do not have to socially distance from each other. However, they do need to try and distance themselves from adults who are not from their household or bubble. If you're sat down we'll be asking you to keep 4 chairs (2m) free between you and the next family group. I.e. please only sit on the chairs with blue stickers.

Unfortunately we're unable to serve refreshments at this time. However, you're welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks. We would just ask that if you're eating and drinking, you and your children sit down, and then you sanitise your hands before you go back to playing. Rather than walking around eating and playing simultaneously.

We will still have a craft. It will be in the main room and we'll have a limit on the number of families who can sit at the table to do it at one time. We'll be limiting shared resources for this as much as possible. We will also have our Bible story and singing time in the main room as one big group. It's lovely that we can do this together however, for now only the adult leading the session and the children can join in with singing. But you can be as elaborate with the actions as you like!!

Please be aware that the building may be cooler than normal due to needing to open windows to adhere to good ventilation guidelines.

Please do not visit if you have symptoms of Coronavirus including a high temperature, persistent new cough and/or loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste.

By signing up you'll be agreeing to attend the sessions at your own risk. Even though we are a covid-19 secure venue, this does not guarantee that we are covid free.

If you attended Little Fishes before the pandemic and we have your email address, check your inbox for an invite to apply for a place each week.
